Tonic Rider @ The Albion Rooms

The Tonic Rider team delivered a training day for staff at The Libertines' Albion Rooms in Margate.

The Albion Rooms is a boutique hotel with a recording studio and live venue (The Wasteland) in Margate, made up of rooms designed by The Libertines themselves. Ten staff were present for the three hour training session. Tonic Rider facilitators, Steve Daley and Jade Hughes, presented on mental health and wellbeing, including the importance of self-care and self compassion; principles of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (including mindfulness and values); and suicide awareness and prevention. The aim was to provide an overview of a number of topics and issues, with the focus on both education and practical strategies that can be used to help manage mental health.

This was the first training day Tonic Rider has delivered in-person, one attendee shared they "enjoyed learning the techniques to help with anxiety". A fellow attendee commented they "liked the information about personal values and goals often being misaligned".

Our aim is to provide similar bespoke mental health training to others. We can tailor content to meet the specific needs of an organisation, ensuring participants gain the most relevant and appropriate training.
