We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Bloodstock Open Air festival’s Metal 2 The Masses and 0161 Promotions hosted at iconic alternative venue - Rebellion Manchester.
Our involvement aims to introduce the support that Tonic Music offers for music communities to Manchester’s alternative scene, and help produce a culture of mutual development between all parties involved.
Tonic Music will be providing an information stand at each of Manchester’s Metal to the Masses (M2TM) where artists, venue staff and gig-goers alike can receive information on our mental health programmes, Tonic Rider and Never Mind The Stigma and access physical supportive resources. The area can also be used as a safe space to gain respite from the crowd, if anyone would like to discuss potential worries and experiences, Tonic Music’s staff are on-hand to listen.
Together, Tonic Music, Rebellion and 0161 Promotions are aiming to foster an inclusive, supportive environment that celebrates creativity, builds on the community’s resilience, and offers a safe space for connection through shared musical passion. M2TM is a nationwide, grassroots competition that enriches the UK’s alternative music community, providing emerging bands with the chance to perform on the prestigious New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air, one of the UK’s premier metal festivals.
By hosting regional events across the country, M2TM nurtures local music scenes, offering a platform for fresh talent to showcase their skills and gain invaluable exposure. The event is an annual celebration for many metal music fans, bringing together fans, musicians, and industry professionals to amplify the voice of grassroots heavy metal.
Our first collaboration was on the second heat last Sunday, which featured local alternative acts - All Out Of Bubblegum, Silence Reigns, Nerve Agents, Rock Paper Stone and Gaias Stone - we had a great time and our presence at the event was met with receptive and enthusiastic reception.
